Picture this

It's a cold fall evening. You're lounging on the couch under a fluffy throw, a cup of coffee in one hand, your dog curled beside you. Your eyes settle on the dancing flames of the fireplace, and in this moment your mind is at peace. You're not worrying about tomorrow's errands or the week ahead. All that matters is now. 

Or maybe it's the opposite kind of moment: friends and family gathered close, whether for a holiday, a celebration, or simply to be together. The kind of warmth that keeps everyone present. I kept coming back to this feeling. It's shared by so many, yet I couldn't name it, until one rabbit hole later I finally found the word: Hygge.

Pronounced hoo-gah, it's a Danish term for exactly this, the experience of being with the people you love, or simply by yourself, in a space curated to feel warm, inviting, and safe. It makes you want to slow down and savor it. The Little Book of Hygge by Meik Wiking, CEO of Denmark's Happiness Research Institute, became my foundation for understanding how these moments are made and shaped the development of Miel & Willow.

Our goal is to craft artisan products, inspired by hygge, that engage the senses and make your coziest moments cozier. Everything is made in small batches, so the same care that goes into a quiet evening goes into every piece we craft.

We craft French pâtisserie starting with our signature French macarons and Sablés bretons, with more to come so you and your loved ones always have a sweet or hearty bite to reach for.

To set the mood, we craft fragrances expressed through candlelight today, with air fresheners and body fragrances coming soon.

Dwell (Touch & Sight)

To bring warmth to the space itself: knitted throws, wooden knickknacks, furniture, and decor we'll soon offer pieces sourced from small artisans.
